Vineet is the founder and Managing Director of Aavishkaar Venture Management Services and has over 18 years of experience in early stage investing, small business incubation, strategic planning, microfinance and social entrepreneurship, Vineet provides overall leadership to the fund team with key focus on fund raising and post investment mentoring and exits. He is also the Co-founder and Director of Intellecap, founded in 2002 which provides business solutions and intellectual capital to enterprises driving social and environmental change. He also served as the Director of Villgro, a rural business incubator.Vineet is an Ashoka Fellow, and he has received honorary membership to the Xavier Labour Research Institute Alumni Association. He holds a Post-Graduate diploma in Forestry Management from the Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal. Vineet is also founder of IntelleGrow and currently serves as Board Chairman.
Rakesh Rewari has more than 30 years of experience in financial institutions, including technology financing, SME and micro credit, risk management, venture capital and impact investment among others. He has worked in IFCI, IDBI and served as the first CEO of SIDBI Venture Capital Ltd. He has also assisted in setting up Venture Capital Funds creating social impact in the SME space. Rakesh holds a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and an MBA from FMS, University of Delhi.
Anurag is a Partner at Aavishkaar and has been with the Aavishkaar-Intellecap group since 2005.He has been part of the Founding team of the Group Company, Intellecap and last served as its CEO. Anurag holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Commerce Degree from Madras University, and a Masters of Business Administration in Finance from TA Pai Management Institute. He holds expertise in investment banking, impact investing, financial inclusion, consulting, and research. Anurag has played a key role in incubating I3N (Intellecap Impact Investment Network), India's first impact focused angel network within Intellecap and continues to guide the team as part of its group of strategic advisors.
Pradeep joined the Shell Foundation in early 2007 to run the organisation's expanding clean cook stove programme. In 2013, he became Deputy Director with responsibility for operational management of all programmes and strategy development for Shell Foundation's future investments.Through previous roles Pradeep has built extensive experience working and scaling start-up enterprises and in defining corporate strategy for major multinationals.A Chartered Management Accountant, Pradeep has a degree in International Business Management and has been part of Accelerated Development Programme in Leadership from London Business School and holds passion for entrepreneurialism and social development.
Anuradha serves as a Director of Investments at Omidyar Network.Prior to joining Omidyar in early 2012, Anuradha spent five years at VentureEast, an early-stage venture capital fund. While there, she made many successful investments across sectors spanning clean tech, enterprise software, IT services, financial inclusion, supply chain, and group buying.She began her career as a principal correspondent on the corporate reporting and equity analysis team for one of India's leading business dailies, The Financial Express.Anuradhareceived an MBA in Finance from the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Madurai Kamaraj University.
She served as the country head and Chief General Manager of Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI). Her key accomplishments over the years span a range of various policy initiatives piloted at the board level for adoption. She has closely dealt with multilateral and bilateral agencies in close co-ordination with the Government of India. She also looked after the Corporate Social Responsibility activities of SIDBI. Throughout her career span she has held directorial positions at various companies such as Ladderup Finance Ltd, Ujjivan Financial Services Ltd, SBI Global Factors Ltd, Karnataka State Financial Corporation and Canbank Factors Ltd.Bhama received a Masters' degree in Science from the University of Mumbai.
Arun has been part of the founding team at Aavishkaar and devotes significant time to providing support to both the investment team and Aavishkaar’s portfolio companies. He sits on the board of Aavishkaar portfolio companies Vortex Engineering, INI Farms and Suryoday Microfinance. In a formal advisory position, Arun would provide support to the Principals and Investment Managers through dedicated review of SOW and TEND stage companies and taking board positions to protect the interest of Aavishkaar II and guide the companies in the formative stage. Arun has completed a distinguished career with Standard Chartered Bank spanning 28 years in various positions including international locations. He also led the Reuters Consulting division in South Asia. Arun holds a Masters in Business Management from Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI), Jamshedpur, India and a degree in Mathematics from the University of Madras.
Aleem serves as the managing director of the private equity arm of Developing World Markets. Prior to joining DWM he worked as an investment associate for Bridge Ventures a UK-based private equity and venture capital firm that invests in double and triple bottom line projects in economically deprived areas of the UK. He started his career as a corporate finance analyst at JP Morgan and later on worked as a senior associate at the New York City Investment Fund. He holds directorial positions at S.M.I.L.E Microfinance Limited and JSC MFO Crystal and earlier served on the board of Suryoday Micro Finance Pvt Ltd. Aleem did his MBA from Harvard Business School and BA in Economics and Finance from Priceton University.
He is a senior Investment officer/ Private equity at Triodos Investment Management. Prior to joining Triodos he worked for SocíétéGénérale(Paris) where over a span of 9 years he was involved in various business verticals such as working as an in-house lawyer, involved in specialized financial services and later on managed the company’s Group Strategy and Corporate M&A arm where he managed and worked on various acquisition and disposal projects in African and European countries. and also served as an expatriate executive board member and commercial director. Prior to that he worked as a lawyer at EU and international law for a year. Sarunas received his Master Degree in Law from Vilnius University and SpecializedMaster Degree in International Business Law and Management from ESSEC Business School Paris.
