Board of Directors

IntelleGrow's Board of Directors provides strategic direction to the organization, and includes some of IntelleGrow's lead investors. The Board is a diverse set of industry experts, and they lend their time and expertise to IntelleGrow's success.

Vineet Rai

Vineet is the founder and Managing Director of Aavishkaar Venture Management Services and has over 18 years of experience in early stage investing, small business incubation, and microfinance. Vineet provides overall leadership to the fund team with key focus on fund raising and post investment mentoring and exits. He is also the Co-founder and Director of Intellecap, and serves as the Director of Villgro, a rural business incubator. Vineet is an Ashoka Fellow, and he has received honorary membership to the Xavier Labour Research Institute Alumni Association. He holds a Post-Graduate diploma in Forestry Management from the Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal. Vineet is also founder of IntelleGrow and currently serves as Board Chairperson.

Anurag Agrawal

Anurag is a Partner at Aavishkaar and has been with the Aavishkaar-Intellecap group since 2005. He has been part of the Founding team of the Group company,Intellecap and last served as its CEO.Anurag has played a key role in incubating I3N (Intellecap Impact Investment Network), India's first impact focused angel network within Intellecap and continues to guide the team as part of its group of strategic advisors.He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Commerce Degree from Madras University, and a Masters of Business Administration in Finance from TA Pai Management Institute.

Pradeep Pursnani

Pradeep joined the Shell Foundation in early 2010 to run the organisation's expanding clean cook stove programme. In 2012, he became Deputy Director with responsibility for operational management of all programmes and strategy development for Shell Foundation's future investments. Through previous roles Pradeep has built extensive experience working and scaling start-up enterprises and in defining corporate strategy for major multinationals. A Chartered Management Accountant, Pradeep also has a degree in International Business Management and a passion for entrepreneurialism and social development.

Rakesh Rewari

Rakesh Rewari has more than 30 years of experience in financial institutions, including technology financing, SME and micro credit, credit rating and risk management, and venture capital among others. He served as Deputy Managing Director and member of the Board of Directors of Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) where he was instrumental in setting up the SIDBI Venture Capital Ltd. Rakesh holds a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and an MBA from FMS, University of Delhi.

Akbar Khan

Akbar Khan, CEO of IntelleGrow, holds over 22 years of experience in business management, deal origination, transaction structuring and execution, and relationship management. Akbar has spent most of his career in the financial services sector. He started his career in financial services with Bank of America Merrill Lynch in London and worked extensively on capital raising and M&A transaction in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

Akbar relocated to India with BAML in 2008 to head the financial sponsors coverage team. He also led the financial institutions group where he was involved in several capital raising transactions in the sector. More recently, Akbar worked at General Electric where he was a member of the South Asia leadership team. He was responsible for driving key strategic initiatives and M&A transactions in South Asia and the Middle East.

Akbar has an MBA degree from the London Business School. He is a Chartered Accountant, having qualified as a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He also holds a BA with First Class in Economics from the Mumbai University.

Anuradha Ramachandran

Anuradha serves as a Director of Investments at Omidyar Network.Prior to joining Omidyar in early 2012, Anuradha spent seven years at VentureEast, an early-stage venture capital fund. While there, she made many successful investments across sectors spanning clean tech, enterprise software, IT services, financial inclusion, supply chain, and group buying. She began her career as a principal correspondent on the corporate reporting and equity analysis team for one of India's leading business dailies, The Financial Express.Anuradha received an MBA in Finance from the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Madurai Kamaraj University.

Bhama Krishnamurthy

Bhama was formerly Country Head and Chief General Manager, SIDBI. Her key accomplishments over the years span a range of various policy initiatives piloted at the board level for adoption. She has closely dealt with multilateral and bilateral agencies in close co-ordination with the Government of India.Bhama also holds directorial positions at Ujjivan Financial Services, SIDBI Venture Capital Limited, IDBI Capital Market Services, Metalyst Forgings, Castex Technologies, JMT Auto and Reliance Industrial Infrastructure Ltd.Bhama received a Masters' degree in Science from the University of Mumbai.

NITIN AGRAWAL

Nitin Agrawal is the Dy. CEO at IntelleGrow. He has over 15 years of work experience focused on rural/lower mass markets in financial services industry across Bank and NBFCs.

Nitin comes with an experience of managing large teams from diverse functional areas with a keen eye to pick business drivers. Prior to IntelleGrow, Nitin led the strategy and risk function besides serving as interim CEO at Spandana, one of the largest NBFC-MFI. There, he actively participated in the business revival including crisis response, Corporate Debt Restructuring, fund raise, process improvement, trainings and rollouts. Prior to that, he worked at Fullerton India in their rural foray managing the rural project rollout, business planning, risk control and reviews. He also worked at ICICI Bank in product and tech covering microfinance product, exploring rollout of smart cards in rural space, agri channel finance and bulk warehouse receipt finance. Before that, he did research and credit ratings at M-CRIL besides working in Media production planning and budgeting, materials management in Times' group and India Today group.

Nitin graduated from Institute of Rural Management, Anand specializing in Finance and Rural/ low-income livelihoods.

RAJAN JUNEJA

Rajan Juneja is Head of Credit at Intellegrow. He has developed the lending approach for IntelleGrow, ensuring risk contained deal processing through the pipeline. He has been instrumental in developing methodologies besides grooming the team to structure cash-flow based debt proposition for early stage enterprises with limited history and hard collateral. Prior to joining IntelleGrow, he was Vice President - Risk Assessment for Business Banking with HSBC Bank, managing North India. He has also worked with banks like ICICI, HDFC and ING. Rajan has over 14 years of experience in SME and Corporate lending in relationship management and credit roles. Rajan is a qualified chartered accountant.
